I found Swimotion worked extremely well in helping me to develop strength and get back into running after having 4 months off. I had suffered from the early stages of a stress fracture in my tibia and found Swimotion was a great way of being able to test running again and how my leg reacted to it. It helped as it was about 50% body weight hitting the ground each step, meaning less pressure was put on my leg. I started off with one session and then did 2 sessions a week. I would recommend more than one session as the first time I spent that getting used to the motion. Each session Jon put the resistance up and after a few I found my legs becoming stronger. Not only did it help my strength but also running technique.

Our daughter Holli Gushlow had been a member of our local swimming club for approximately 20 months. Competing in her first county championships in February, she swum the 200m breaststroke in 3.13.36 & the 100m breaststroke in 1.31.36. We contacted Jon at the end of February & booked the 1 hour video analysis with technique coaching. Holli really enjoyed swimming in the Endless Pool & the 1 to 1 coaching with Jon as he could really focus on Holli’s technique. So impressed with the Endless Pool & Jon’s coaching, we booked a block of 10 X 30 minute sessions.  Holli improved massively & went on to compete in the South East Regionals, making the finals in the 200m breaststroke improving her time by over 14 seconds, finishing 2.58.99 placing 3rd in the South East 12 year old girls. She also took off over 4 seconds of her 100m breaststroke time finishing 3rd in 1.27.12. She has now been selected to attend the 2017 South East Region athlete development programme. We are in no doubt that Holli couldn’t have achieved this without the fantastic coaching of Jon & the Endless Pool at Swimotion.

Having got back into swimming after a decade long break, I was becoming frustrated with my lack of progress as my fitness levels increased. I was given coaching with Jon as a Christmas present, and he’s transformed my front crawl. He picked apart the bits that needed changing very clearly, and gave me step by step guides to work on the new technique I had to learn. Having the follow-up sessions was invaluable to tweak bits that needed it, and Jon was endlessly patient with my flapping about! 4 months on I’m still having to think very hard about my swimming, but my stroke is transformed and my times demonstrate that. Thank you, Jon, for your patience and expertise.

In advance of competing at Ironman Wales I wanted to improve both my speed, efficiency and confidence in open water and Jon's clear coaching and endless swimming pool facility made this possible. In the short space of 4 sessions my technique came on rapidly and I consequently hit a 10 minute PB in the swim on race day in 1.06. I highly recommend Swimotion and will be returning next season!

I was recommended Swimotion through a friend who booked breast stroke sessions for her daughter, resulting in seconds being shaved off her PB. My daughter was coming in very close to County times in many events, but just missing out. I decided to book her in for a front crawl analysis and two follow up sessions. We began in February and using underwater video capture, Jon noticed many technical areas that could be easily corrected to improve efficiency and endurance in the water. With lots of patience, Jon has coached and encouraged my daughter to make lots of little changes and bed them into her everyday stroke. Jon also emailed me the footage and written analysis for further reflection. There are a variety of packages to choose from and can be bespoke for individuals. It has been noticed by her Swim Club Coaches how well she is swimming and she feels she is swimming better than ever before. She recently had a Coach compliment her on her lovely stroke. We would both definitely recommend Jon to other swimmers who wish to refine their technique and performance for whatever reason. We have been so delighted with the results, we have gone on to book in for Back, Fly and Breaststroke, to be able to achieve a really efficient IM. The endless pool is perfect for training and coaching. In these COVID times, Jon is meticulous about keeping the environment clean and safe and ensures everybody knows what they need to do to avoid infection. We are lucky to live close to such a fantastic facility and we both look forward to see the fruits of Jon’s labour when competitions restart.

This year I needed to prepare for both an Ironman and an 11-mile open water swim. Jon (Swimotion) came highly recommended, and proved to be incredibly helpful in my pursuit of completing those challenges. I’m quite a weak swimmer, but the endless pool, video recordings and feedback from Jon really helped me to dial in my form and make some major improvements, which made the world of difference! I would highly recommend Jon for anyone who is looking to become a better swimmer!

With Jon's export tuition I have progressed from being unable to swim to being safe and confident enough to sea kayak. Despite COVID restrictions and lockdown disruptions to lessons Jon has supported and facilitated my development. Each lesson is fun and designed to build on the skills learned in previous lessons. Jon's focus is always on identifying areas where I can develop and providing me the structure and support needed to develop and progress.
